HItch Receiver and Wiring
Rock ‘n Road Outfitters can order and install (excluding 5th Wheel) everything you need for a great towing experience. A few favorite Brands (but not limited to) are Curt®, Draw Tite®, Husky® and Tekonsha®. Installs range from 2-3 hours with wiring.
Nerf side steps and running boards
They both help you step up into the vehicle and they look cool, but what's the difference? Nerf side steps can be a single loop step, cab or wheel to wheel length that appears to float slightly away from the vehicle. Their average range in size is 3"-6" wide. Materials are generally mild or stainless steel, or polished chrome. Where as Running Boards have a wider step surface and curves upward toward the cab making them look like an extention of the cab body. Finishes for both are smooth or textured black powder coat or classic chrome with black non-skid step pads. The materials however can be ABS plastic, aluminum, stainless steel or fiberglass. Trail FX®, Raptor®, Rough Country® and Westin® are a few (but not limited to) customer prefered vendors for the best style and price. Most installs are between 1-2 hours.
Bed/Tonneau Covers
When selecting a protective cover for your vehicle, it is important to ask "How am I, and how do I expect to use my truck bed in the future?" Pricing and security needs are also top on the list to ask. Let Rock 'n Road Outfitters explore the questions that ultimately impacts your decision. Tonneau covers come in soft, hard, roll, fold, back-window tilt, and retractable options that are installed on, or in the truck bed rail system. Check out our floor samples in the showroom. We offer many suppliers but here are a few: Bak®, Extang®, Leer®, Rough Country®, Retrax®, Truxedo®, Undercover® Estimated install time ranges from 15 minutes - 1.5 hours depending on manual or power installs.
TRUCK CAPS
Truck caps are made of fiberglass or aluminum. They generally feature lockable rear doors and front/side windows in several different styles. Additional options are available. The fiberglass caps are color-matched to your vehicle, while the aluminum caps are either Black, Silver or White. We offer Jeraco® caps in both fiberglass and aluminum, as well as Leer® and RSI SmartCap®. Truck caps are special orders that require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of ordering. Lead time is between 4-6 weeks and estimated install time is 4 hours.
Van equiptment
Both Weatherguard® and KargoMaster® offer individual components, as well as complete trade packages. Follow the links to find the perfect configuration and product material that suits your needs. Installs will vary based on the set up, however most full van builds are 4-6 hours.
air lift®
When you need to add a little extra umph to your hauling abilities, consider Air Lift® Loadlifter ProSeries Ultimate. All the benefits of the LoadLifter ProSeries air spring kit with an added internal jounce bumper. Manually inflate or invest in the wireless one compressor. Installs range between 4-6 hours.
Suspension level and lift Kits
Selecting a kit comes down to personal preference and confidence in the brand. If you are unsure, then ask one of our technicians for some advice. Rock 'n Road Outfitters knows which brands stand out for their quality, performance and ease of installation, which ultimately reduces the final cost to the customer. Because the condition of the vehicle plays a huge role in estimating installation times, we ask to over look and test drive your vehicle. Most 1"-3.5" lifts can be installed in 2-4 hours, larger lifts can be 6-8 hours. Alignments are not included, but can be coordinated with partnering shops.
Performance options
The use of a good Cold Air Intake can add a lot of fun with additional horsepower to your vehicle (based on the intake being used and the vehicle on which it’s being installed). We are familiar with AEM®, Airaid®, Banks Power®, and K&N®. Stop in for help in choosing the right intake for your application and objectives.
*Beware of claims of improved fuel mileage. In our experience, no manufacturer will actually stipulate fuel savings because driving conditions and styles vary so much. We offer vehicle-specific, pre-bent Exhaust Systems from Flowmaster® and MagnaFlow®. These are typically cat-back systems that come from the factory with everything needed to complete a clamp-style installation, however we can provide a welded installation for this type of system as well.
REmote starters
A "1 button" remote will turn your car on/off, however utilizes the main key fob to lock/unlock your vehicle.  A "4 button" remote will turn your vehicle on/off and you will no longer need your factory key fob to lock/unlock your doors.  A "2 way" sends a "success" notification beep back to the remote. Distances and brand options may vary depending on the year/make/model and key or push to start vehicles. Unfortunately we do not have remote options for high-end luxury models such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen.
