Tires and wheels
ON AND OFF-ROAD
TIRES
When selecting new tires for your vehicle, ask yourself if you want to replace the size and style you have or increase to a new size or tire type. Before increasing the size, consult with a Rock 'n Road Outfitters technician. Many times your vehicle may need modification. It may be as simple as a little bit of trimming, a new wheel width or diameter, or maybe a little boost with a level suspension lift kit.
Although we have many brands to order from, many of our customers are looking for a larger, more aggressive look without the loud, uncomfortable ride. Check out the brands BFG®, Mickey Thompson®, Nitto® and Toyo® to name just a few.
Mount and Balance
Smooth driving is a balancing act - literally. It’s important to professionally mount and balance your tires. Believe it or not, brand new tires are usually not perfectly round. Often, their weight is not distributed evenly. Unfortunately, tires that are unbalanced lead to advanced tire wear and vehicle vibration at increased speeds.
Rock 'n Road Outfitters can mount and balance up to a 44 x 13.5 inch tire and uses a commercial tire balancing machine, along with Magnum Balance Beads. Labor is $40 per tire up to 35", and $50 per tire up to 44".

WHEELS
We have access to hundreds of different wheel styles, ranging in size from 14″ to 22″. Yes, we have samples in the store, but it is impossible to show you in person everything we have at our finger tips. So where do we start? Try Wheelpros®. We find they have the largest in stock line up for Jeeps and trucks, and frequently we can sell complete ready-to-roll packages; fully mounted and balanced tires and wheels, lug nut installation kits, TPMS sensors, and any other items needed for a correct fit.
A note about buying used wheels:On many occasions, customers have found what they thought was a great deal. Until.... they don't fit the vehicle in question. Wait, what? That's right, there are several factors that need to be considered for proper fitment: Offset – Diameter – Bore Size – Bolt Pattern – Condition of the used wheel. So do your homework, check the condition of the used wheels very, VERY closely, make sure you know the correct fitment for your vehicle, and then we can help take care of the rest.
